Am I covered if my flight is delayed?

Joe Foster Last updated:

We pay up to the amount shown in the table of benefits, for the level of cover shown on your validation certificate if the intended departure of your first outward or final inward international flight, sea crossing or coach or train journey forms part of a booked trip, is delayed as a direct result of strike or industrial action, adverse weather conditions, failure of air traffic control systems, or mechanical breakdown of aircraft, sea vessel, coach or train.

Alternatively, you can choose to abandon your trip and submit a Cancellation claim under Section 1,
should you experience a delay as specified above, of more than 12 hours beyond the intended
departure time.

Please refer to the General Exclusions and General Conditions sections for further information on the cover we provide under this policy.

The General Exclusions section outlines any specific situations or circumstances that are not covered by the policy. It is important to review this section to understand any limitations or restrictions on the cover provided. The General Conditions section provides important information about the terms and conditions of the policy. This includes details about how to make a claim, the responsibilities of the policyholder, and any other relevant information that may affect the cover.
